She is known for her willingness to sit down with beginning engineers and help them figure out the best way to accomplish what they want. And she has been a resume reviewer for IEEE Scholarship Plus applicants.

Betty attended Northwestern University where she received Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Electrical Engineering as well as a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering. She is a registered Professional Engineer in Washington State and a Life Member of IEEE.

Betty will be retiring in July 2015 and moving to Virginia to be close to family. “Engineering has been a wonderful career choice for me,” she said. “I have met and worked with many knowledgeable people over the years and have had many interesting projects and assignments. Of course, I count my experiences with IEEE and people I met through IEEE among my career highlights.”
