We had a great Seattle PES SIGHT kick-off meeting on Wednesday. Since Seattle PES SIGHT (Special Interest Group on Humanitarian Technology) is a new group, nominations for the positions of Chair, Secretary and Treasurer are sought. To be eligible, the nominee must be a Seattle PES member in good standing. The officers will hold two-year terms and will be elected by an in-person vote at the next meeting (scheduled for May 20th, 7PM at Seattle University). The time commitment for the officers is flexible but is anticipated to be 0.5-2 hours per week.

If you or a colleague are interested in humanitarian activities and technology, I hope you consider this opportunity. The nomination form is available at http://ieeepesseattle.org/elections/ Self-nominations are encouraged.

Ten IEEE PES members attended the meeting, pictured below.
