2019 Outstanding Engineer of the Year Award to Carrie Smith

Carrie Ann Smith is an Electrical Design Engineer at Stryker. She works to enhance state-of-the-art medical technology. She completed her undergraduate degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering with a minor in computer science (Magna Cum Laude) from Seattle University, where she served as the chair for Tau Beta Pi the engineering honor society, president and charter member of IEEE HKN honor society, and chair of IEEE.

2019 Outstanding Volunteer of the Year Award to Michael Brisbois

Mike Brisbois – Design engineer at Salas O’Brien. Member of IEEE since 1998. Presently chair of the IEEE Consultant Network Seattle, member of the IEEE Power and Energy Society and sponsorship chair of the IEEE GHTC Global Humanitarian Technologies Conference, and Publicity Chair at IEEE Excom Seattle.

2019 Outstanding Engineer of the Year Award to Jeff Kensok

I have a degree in electrical engineering from the University of Washington and an MBA from Seattle University. I have worked in the electric power industry for 15 years, the majority of that time with Puget Sound Energy. I have worked as a planning engineer and a smart grid engineer in addition to my current role as a reliability strategist.
