IEEE PES 2024 General Meeting – VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

The 2024 IEEE Power and Energy Society General Meeting in Seattle is coming up quickly! Less than 2 months away! We are seeking volunteers for every day of the conference (July 21-25) for the following positions:

  • Human arrows: Human arrows are volunteers who greet, assist and provide direction to meeting attendees.
  • Workshop/Tutorial/Panel Session Room Monitors: Volunteers will verify correct attendance using the registration list and will direct anyone not on the list to the registration desk. Must be comfortable using technology.
  • Poster session: Check for badges at the door and inside the venue and ensure all poster presenters have the materials they need to hang their poster. Direct people without badges to return to their room for the badge or to purchase a new badge at the registration desk.
  • Opening reception (Sun evening): Volunteers are to check badges when the doors open and inside the venue.
  • Room Monitors are our greatest need at this point along with any and all positions on Thursday

Additional details regarding each position are available here.

Perks of volunteering include ORCA Transit Pass for those who request it, a volunteer t-shirt and free half day to full day of meeting access for half day to full day of volunteering completed.

Interested volunteers need management approval and can register here. A big thank you to those who have already signed up.  If you signed up for one position, please consider signing up for another.
